Reflected Sound

LOCATION: Milford Sound, South Island, New Zealand

Mitre Peak is unquestionably the iconic landform in Milford Sound & attracts visitors from all over the world.

It would be very easy to frame compositions which simply acknowledged that dominance, but in these conditions of flat calm, the foreground tussock at the water’s edge for me held equal significance.

I deliberately choose this vertical perspective to try & give emphasis to both. In my opinion, it is well deserved.
