LOCATION: Binalong Bay, Tasmania, Australia
The shoreline around the Bay of Fires is full of interest for both the casual & the serious photographer.
Stretching from Binalong Bay in the south to Eddystone Point in the north, the area contains rocky gullies, secluded beaches & small inlets. But the ‘glue’ which characterises the bay is the bright orange lichen growing on the granite rock.
In order to survive, vegetation of all sorts needs to be particularly hardy. Coming across this tree, I was impressed by its tenacious hold on life.
