LOCATION: Apollo Bay, Victoria, Australia
I find the ebb & flow of the tide mesmerizing. It approaches with force, strikes an obstruction, then disperses, with water swirling about seeking the lowest level.
Skenes Creek Beach on the Great Ocean Road is a popular location, with much to interest the landscape photographer. A small creek traverses the sandy beach & a rock platform becomes a ‘plaything’ for the tide.
I have visited here on a number of occasions & never twice found the same conditions. One piece of the puzzle is always different, with the state of the tide often the most influential.
This time round, the tide was incoming with the frenzy of the water providing endless subject material.
